Detect foods that make you sick or cause weight gain.
Some foods, sometimes even any food that we consider very beneficial, can make us sick or cause weight gain due to food intolerance.
Food intolerance does not threaten your life; however, it lowers the quality of life by making you feel bad all the time.
Food intolerance symptoms can often appear hours or days later, unlike food allergy symptoms that result in a sudden reaction.
Therefore, it is difficult to determine the food one is intolerant to.
1. What Is Food Intolerance?
Due to the inability to digest enough of some foods that we eat and think to be healthy, that is, due to the fact that the substances we call enzymes cannot be broken down into small enough parts to digest that food for a genetic or acquired reason, our body cannot recognize those foods, sees them as foreign substances and tries to fight them. This situation continues to increase as long as the same food is taken and causes weakening of the immune system and many unexplained diseases. It is called food intolerance.
2. How Does Food Intolerance Occur?
Your body cannot digest some nutrients enough. When these food particles enter your bloodstream, your body perceives them like a virus or bacteria.
To prevent these particles from being taken into the cell, defense cells called ‘antibodies’ are produced. These IgG-type antibodies combine with food particles and damage tissues, and they hinder the system and prevent it from working correctly. And, you experience health problems that you cannot understand why. Doctors describe them as ‘psychological.’
3. Are Food Allergies and Food Intolerance Different?
In food allergy, IgE-type antibodies are secreted. These antibodies cause the release of histamine and give the allergy signal with symptoms such as itching, redness, sneezing, coughing. The cause of the allergy is easily understood. An allergy cannot be cured, but antihistamines and not consuming this substance can prevent symptoms and discomfort.
However, food intolerance is something insidious. It does not reveal itself easily. It creates more general health problems by causing specific reactions over time. The type of antibody produced is IgG.
The Pinner Test (food intolerance test), produced for adults, is also specially created for children who may be more affected by this problem in their developmental age.
4. What Are The Symptoms Of Food Intolerance?
Food intolerance can occur with the following symptoms or their similars:
- Weakening of the immune system
- Constipation
- Stomach and bowel problems
- Abdomen swelling
- Diarrhea
- Skin problems
- Obesity (excessive obesity)
- Anxiety
- Insomnia or constant sleepiness
- Acne
- Headache
5. How Is The Food Intolerance Test (Food Test) Performed?
- Venous blood taken from the arm is sufficient.
- You can learn your test result within 10 days!
- You can also have your child take a food intolerance test.
- You do not have to exclude the food you are intolerant from your diet completely! Your report will be informative.
