Candida Typing

Candida Albicans is a yeast-type fungus. It causes opportunistic infection in case of an immune system weakness. It is responsible for 75% of Candida infections.
Interpretation:In humans, it occurs in the oral and vaginal areas. It causes complaints of thrush, bloating, cramps, aphthae, anal itching, vaginal fungus, bladder inflammation, fatigue, loss of energy, low libido, depression. Cancer treatments and immune system diseases upset the balance between the body’s normal bacteria and the fungus, and the fungal infection spreads rapidly. Antifungal drugs are used for treatment. This test is used to differentiate between candida species that cause infections in humans (Candida Albicans, Candida Glabrata, Candida Tropicalis, Candida Lusitaniae and Candida Parapsilosis). Once the candida species causing the infection has been identified, the clinician will have the chance to treat it by the appropriate medicine.
Sample: Any yeast sample (from the site of infection or swab) placed in a transport material like Stuart Ames.
