Stool Enteamoeba Histolycia

Amoebiasis is a common infection of the human gastrointestinal tract caused by the parasite Enteamoeba Histolycia. Frequently, it may present as diarrhea or bloody stool dysentery. In the chronic condition, weight loss can be seen later. Affected organs are liver, pleuropulmonary, peritoneal, renal, cardiac, cerebral and cutaneous regions. The incubation period is 2-4 weeks. Microscopic detection of cysts and trophozoites in the stool is a common diagnostic method.
Interpretation:Presence of Enteamoeba Histolycia will indicate fulminant necrotizing colitis, toxic megacolon, rectovaginal fistula, intraperitoneal, intrathoracic, intrapericardial rupture, brain abscess formation, gastrointestinal bleeding.
