Investigation for parasite (oocyst) eggs

If parasite eggs in nonhygenic food and/or water are ingested orally turn into worms (Enterobius vermicularis or oxybium) in the intestine. Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, itching in the rectal area are the main symptoms caused by the inflammation created by the infection. As female parasites come out of the anus, they lay their eggs in the perianal areas. Therefore they may be examined microscopically if a glass or a cellophane band has been placed on the anal area before the examination.
Interpretation:After laboratory diagnosis, it is treated with oral antiparasitic drugs.
Sample: Cellophane tape (cellophane tape is placed on the anus area to cover the anus folds, if applied at home, it is brought to the laboratory immediately in body temperature)
Working day: Every day
Result Time: 2 hours
