Hepatitis B Virus DNA is a measure of the Viral Load of hepatitis B Virus in the blood. It is a PCR test.
Interpretation: If the result is undetectable or low viral load and there is no sign of liver damage, this is interpreted as an inactive state of the infection. Patient does not require a severe treatment. If the load is elevated and signs of liver damage are observed, severe treatment will be needed.
