Gruber Widal

Salmonella Thypi, Parathypi A and Parathypi B antigenes are responsible for Thypoid fever. The Gruber Widal Agglutination test is to detect the antibodies present in the blood, if the above antigens are present. The rise in antibody levels needed to perform the test is 7-14 days which limits its applicability in early diagnosis.
