Adenoviruses are common viruses that cause cold like symptoms as fever, sore throat, bronchitis, pneumonia, diarrhea and pink eye (conjugtivitis). They effect kidneys, gastrointestinal tract, the eyes and blood cells.
Interpretation: If there is adenovirus antigen in feces, it may be a cause of morbidity in children. It causes viral gastroentheritis. Diarrhea, vomitting are the most common symptoms fever may be in 20-40% of the cases.
