This test shows the blood in feces which cannot be detected with ordinary eye observation. This test is done for patients with anemia especially above the age 50. The test is a screening test to find out the risk for colon carcinaomas. The test should be done on 3 different samples.
Interpretation:If the test is positive, the suspected diagnoses are colon carcinoma, gastrointestnal system bleeding, cholitis, diverticule, polips, inflamatory bowel diseases (Chorn’s disease), swallowed blood, haemoroids and some iron containing medicines.
