Diazepam is one of a benzodiazepine group of medicine which is used as an anxiolytic agent Anxiety,seizures, alcohol withdrawal syndrome, benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome, muscle spasms, insomnia and restless legs syndrome are the cases it may be used.
Interpretation: If blood levels are higher than expected, sleepinness, fatique, ataxia, convulsion, constipation, depression, diplopia (double vision), headache,hypotension, jaundice, reduced libido, skin lesions, urinary retention, vertigo, sight loss is seen. Neutropenia is rare, but liver function tests and other blood tests should be done during intake.
