Clotting time PT is a method based on observing the time elapsed for fibrin to form. The test is done with eye observation on a tile. It is an old method replaced by prothrombin time and activated prothrombin time tests.
Interpretation:It is a bleeding control method that has been used in the past, especially for patients with bleeding problems or patients who will undergo surgery. A stopwatch is used to determine the time until a clot forms.
