It is a type of sedative and ataractic drug. It is used in people who are anxious and distressed or to treat short-term sleep. Xanax (Alprazolam), Rivotril (Clonazepam), Tranxilene (Clorazepat), Diazem, Nervium (Diazepam), Ativan (Loazepam) are the most well-known brand names.
Interpretation:If blood levels rise, nausea, vomiting, headache, drowsiness and even loss of libido may occur. Drugs increase the release of serotonin and noradrenaline in the brain. High doses may also cause loss of consciousness, muscle twitching, sweating, shivering, fever, palpitations, and arrhythmia. Therefore, it may be necessary to monitor the blood levels during treatment.
