Bartonelle Henseale IgM

It is a bacterium formerly known as Rochalimae and transmitted by cat scratching. It is a type of bacteria that traps red blood cells. Lymph nodes near the scratched area swell. It causes fever, headache, fatigue, weakness, and loss of appetite.
Interpretation:IgM antibodies, indicate acute infection. However, this is replaced by IgG antibodies which are body’s immune system response developed during late infection or after the treatment.
Sample: Arm venous blood. Nonfasting
