Saccaromyces Cerevisiae IgA is a type of fungus which can survive and reproduce opportunistically by taking advantage of the weak immune system in patients with chronic diseases, cancer patients and patients with immune deficiency. IgA type of antibodies formed against this fungal infection indicate an acute first response of the body.
Interpretation:Fungemia means that there is a fungal infection in blood. It causes endocarditis (heart inflammation), pneumonia, peritonitis, urinary tract infections, skin infections and esophageal infections.
